FDA expands Pluvicto label, allowing most metastatic prostate cancer patients to receive the therapy

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved an expanded label for Novartis’ radiopharmaceutical Pluvicto, permitting its use together with hormone therapy in metastatic prostate cancer.

The label change broadens the patient pool, nearly doubling the number of individuals who can receive the treatment compared with the previous indication.

By making Pluvicto available to most patients with advanced disease, the agency aims to improve therapeutic options for a population with limited alternatives.
