Boticelli Foods recalls Bettergoods pistachio nut butter over possible Salmonella contamination

Aug 3, 2026·read at fda recalls ↗RegulatoryNegative

Boticelli Foods of Melville, New York announced a recall of one lot of Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter, a 6.7‑oz (190 g) product identified by UPC 194346207961 and lot number LB028ACP04.

The recall was issued because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacterium that can cause severe illness, particularly in young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms can include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain, and in rare cases the infection can spread to the bloodstream.

The nut butter was manufactured by Gustibus Alimentari Srl in Assoro, Italy, imported by Botticelli, and distributed exclusively by Walmart to retail stores in 19 U.S. states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and others.
