CellCentric secures $220 million Series D to advance oral multiple myeloma drug inobrodib

CellCentric, a biotech focused on multiple myeloma, announced a $220 million Series D financing led by Venrock. The capital will fund ongoing Phase 2 trials and a planned Phase 3 study of its oral candidate, inobrodib.

Inobrodib inhibits the p300 and CBP proteins, blocking expression of genes that drive cancer growth. The company is evaluating the drug in combination with Bristol Myers Squibb's Pomalyst and with bispecific antibodies such as Pfizer's Elrexfio and Johnson & Johnson's Tecvayli, as well as in a maintenance setting.

The funding aims to move the therapy toward later-stage development and potentially position it as an additive option for patients with persistent disease across multiple lines of therapy.
