Lidl US expands recall of Eridanous shortbread cookies over undeclared wheat, soy, milk, egg and coconut allergens

Lidl US announced it is widening a recall that began on July 24, 2026 to cover all units of its Eridanous Shortbread Cookies that feature foreign-language packaging.

The affected items include the chocolate truffle‑coated cookies with apricot filling and the apricot‑filled cookies with cocoa topping and coconut sprinkles, each sold in 11.6‑oz boxes.

Because the packaging lacked English ingredient lists, nutrition facts, and required allergen statements, the products may contain undeclared wheat, soy, milk, egg and tree‑nut (coconut) allergens, posing a risk of serious reactions.

The recalled batches were distributed to Lidl US stores between July 15 and July 28, 2026. Consumers with sensitivities are advised not to consume the products and to follow the recall instructions.
