Most-wanted fugitive Ronald Fischer operated under alias in biotech industry for two decades

A Rhode Island man on the most-wanted list was recently uncovered as a hidden employee in the biotech sector, having worked under a false identity for about twenty years.

The individual, identified as Ronald Fischer, used the alias Richard Graydon and presented fabricated curricula vitae. He had previously been convicted of sexual assault before disappearing and remaining at large.

During his time in the industry, Fischer was employed full‑time by at least one biotech firm and on a contractual basis by two large pharmaceutical companies, despite the lack of thorough background checks.

The revelation sparked shock among industry observers, though a recruiter familiar with the case noted that the deception was not entirely unexpected given the circumstances.
