Yusol International Foods recalls OLA-OLA Pounded Yam over undeclared milk allergen

Jul 6, 2026·read at fda recalls ↗CRLNegative

Fayus Inc., operating as Yusol International Foods, announced a voluntary recall of its OLA-OLA Pounded Yam product after discovering that some packages contain sodium caseinate, a milk-derived ingredient that was not listed on the label.

The affected batches were shipped between December 2025 and May 2026 to distribution outlets in Canada, Australia and several U.S. states, including California, Georgia, Illinois, New Jersey, New York and Texas. Consumers with milk allergies could face serious or life‑threatening reactions if they consume the product.

The company says the issue stemmed from a temporary breakdown in its production and packaging processes. No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date, and Yusol is working with regulators to remove the product from the market and prevent future occurrences.
