Bristol Myers teams with Nvidia to launch large AI data center as Samsung Biologics bids $1.8 bn for Swiss peptide maker

Bristol Myers Squibb announced expansion of its partnership with Nvidia, deploying two AI systems to create a powerful AI factory for life‑science research, aiming to tackle larger problems without extra energy use.

The move follows earlier collaborations, including a May agreement with Anthropic to use Claude, and mirrors similar AI investments by Roche and Eli Lilly.

Meanwhile, Samsung Biologics disclosed a bid of 1.46 billion Swiss francs (about $1.8 billion) to acquire PolyPeptide Group, a Swiss contract manufacturer of peptide‑based active pharmaceutical ingredients.

The acquisition would expand Samsung’s capabilities in peptide production, strengthening its position in the growing biologics market.
