Anthropic unveils Claude Science platform as US House panel investigates Chinese clinical trial sites

Anthropic, an artificial‑intelligence startup, announced the launch of Claude Science, a version of its Claude model built for scientific research. The new platform offers tools to help researchers analyze data, summarize literature and generate insights.

Claude Science is aimed at accelerating work in areas such as drug discovery, where natural‑language processing can assist in experiment design and result interpretation. Anthropic says the service will be available to academic and industry users.

At the same time, a US House China panel has opened a probe into clinical trial sites in China. Lawmakers are examining oversight and data integrity issues for studies conducted there, a move that could affect pharmaceutical companies that rely on those sites for drug development.
