Almost any promising molecule quickly has a horde of copycats. Development costs keep rising. Investors are leaning on seemingly safer targets, hoping to quickly flip companies to big pharma. Real breakthroughs take more risks, more commitment and often more cash than ever before. As part of our annual Endpoints 11 awards, our team of science journalists is looking for biotechs that will define the next few years. We spend the summer scrutinizing hundreds of names to find our honorees. And while we know many of the names that will eventually make the cut, we don’t know them all — so we want to hear from you. If there’s a private biotech startup that you think is exceptional, you can nominate them by July 15. If you’re thinking about nominating, please know that we set a very high standard. Companies must be private, have deeply differentiated and innovative science, be backed by a strong team and have the financial firepower to turn ambition into reality. We reward risk-takers and visionaries — and pass over the crowd-followers. Check out our lists from 2025 and 2024 for inspiration. We’ll be announcing our picks and celebrating the winners at our gala dinner on Sept. 24, where we’ll talk about the future of biotech innovation and where the industry goes next. Get your tickets now. — Drew Armstrong, Executive Editor AUTHOR Drew Armstrong Executive Editor drew@endpointsnews.com @ArmstrongDrew Drew Armstrong on LinkedIn
