Jazz Pharmaceuticals partners with AbCellera on T-cell engager program targeting GI cancers, deal up to $4.1 billion

Jazz Pharmaceuticals announced a new collaboration with Canadian antibody company AbCellera to develop T-cell engager therapies aimed at gastrointestinal cancers.

The agreement could be worth as much as $4.1 billion, combining upfront payments, milestones and potential royalties, reflecting Jazz’s strategy to expand its oncology pipeline.

AbCellera, which has built a network of more than 40 biopharma partnerships and several clinical-stage candidates, will provide its antibody discovery platform to identify and optimize the T-cell engager candidates.

The partnership underscores both companies’ focus on leveraging immune-cell targeting approaches to address unmet needs in GI oncology.
