ACOG issues new pregnancy vaccine schedule that diverges from CDC guidance

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) released a new vaccine schedule for pregnant individuals that differs from the current CDC guidance.

ACOG recommends four vaccines be routinely administered during pregnancy, with additional vaccines advised under certain circumstances. The schedule is endorsed by 13 medical societies and health organizations.

ACOG President Camille Clare said the differing recommendations and widespread misinformation cause confusion for patients and providers, and stressed the need for reliable, evidence‑based information from a trusted source.
