Bambusa Therapeutics exceeds IPO target raising $169 million, while Aspen Neuroscience falls short with $141 million
Bambusa Therapeutics announced that its initial public offering was upsized, selling more shares at the midpoint of its $15‑$17 range and raising about $168.9 million, exceeding the $150.4 million target.
The additional capital will fund development of its bispecific antibody program, including BBT001, which targets IL-4Rα and IL-31 and is being moved toward a phase 2b trial for eczema and related conditions.
In contrast, Aspen Neuroscience’s IPO fell short of expectations, offering 9.375 million shares at $15 each and generating roughly $140.6 million, slightly below the midpoint projection.
Both offerings were based on the same original filing of 9.4 million shares, but Bambusa’s stronger demand allowed it to secure more cash, while Aspen’s pricing resulted in a modest shortfall.
