Ferring agrees to buy fertility startup Gameto in deal up to $1.38 billion

Ferring Pharmaceuticals announced it has signed an agreement to acquire Gameto, a biotech company developing an ovary-in-a-dish platform for fertility treatments.

The transaction is structured as a cash deal that could be worth as much as $1.3825 billion, depending on certain milestones or earn-out provisions.

The acquisition adds Gameto's technology to Ferring's reproductive health portfolio, potentially expanding its offerings in assisted reproduction.
