Pacific Health Sciences recalls Baby Sleep Gripe Water over undeclared alcohols
Pacific Health Sciences announced a voluntary recall of one lot of its Babies' Magic Tea brand Baby Sleep Gripe Water dietary supplement.
FDA testing identified undeclared ethanol, methanol and isopropanol in the product, with measured levels of about 8.3% ethanol, 0.35% methanol and 0.48% isopropanol. These substances were not listed on the label and could pose a risk depending on the amount consumed and the user's age and weight.
No adverse events have been reported to date. The affected lot (25122bw, best before 12/2028) was distributed through Secrets of Tea to online retailers, and the company is working to remove it from the market.
