Forbion raises $2.6 billion for two European biotech venture funds
Forbion announced it has secured 2.3 billion euros ($2.6 billion) across two new venture funds, its largest raise to date.
The funds, called Forbion Growth Opportunities IV and Forbion Ventures Fund VIII, aim to invest in up to 30 early‑stage life‑science companies in Europe.
Recent deployments include investments in Sling Therapeutics and Solstice Oncology, and the firm has supported 142 companies overall, helping bring 21 products to market.
The capital raise exceeds Forbion’s original target for the year and follows a $2.2 billion fundraise in 2024, highlighting its position as Europe’s biggest life‑science‑only venture fund.
