Precision Neuroscience raises $250M in Series D to expand brain-computer interface program

Precision Neurosciences announced a $250 million Series D financing round that was oversubscribed. The capital injection follows previous rounds that have brought the company’s total funding to $430 million.

The new money will support the expansion of its brain-computer interface (BCI) platform, which already has the largest clinical footprint in the field, with more than 100 patient procedures performed across 18 medical centers.

Precision secured FDA 510(k) clearance in March 2025 for its Layer 7 cortical interface, a temporary implant that records, monitors and stimulates brain activity for up to 30 days. The device was developed in collaboration with Medtronic.

A recent study cited by the company suggests that BCI training can improve cognitive function in patients with Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, dementia and traumatic brain injury, underscoring the therapeutic potential of the technology.
