Carvykti shows 5-year survival in half of multiple myeloma patients in Phase 2 study

Johnson & Johnson and Legend Biotech reported that 10 of the 20 multiple myeloma patients treated with a single dose of Carvykti remained alive after a median follow‑up of 60.7 months, representing an overall survival of 69.2% at the five‑year mark.

The results come from Cohort A of the Phase 2 CARTITUDE‑2 trial, which enrolled patients who had received one to three prior lines of therapy. No disease progression was observed among the survivors, and the two deaths that occurred since the last data cut were unrelated to the therapy.

These long‑term outcomes were presented at the International Myeloma Society annual congress in Glasgow, highlighting Carvykti’s potential to provide durable benefit for heavily pre‑treated myeloma patients.
