Two nonprofit groups announced the launch of an online marketplace designed to give abandoned cell and gene therapy projects a chance for redevelopment. The initiative is a collaboration between the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy and the Orphan Therapeutics Accelerator. By cataloguing these dormant assets, the marketplace hopes to streamline the process of finding new partners and funding for further development.

Organizers described the service as a "Zillow-like" listing site, allowing interested parties to browse available therapies and assess their potential. The effort reflects growing interest in rescuing promising but stalled biotech projects.

The launch was announced on Thursday, May 15, 2026, during the ASGCT conference in Boston. Attendees were invited to explore the new tool as a way to reduce waste and accelerate innovation in the gene-therapy field.
