Novo Nordisk partners with Anthropic to boost drug discovery using Claude Science AI

Novo Nordisk announced a collaboration with Anthropic aimed at accelerating the discovery and development of new medicines through artificial intelligence.

The two companies will test Anthropic's Claude Science model on selected research and development workflows, seeking to identify challenges and create AI‑driven solutions. Novo also plans to use the models to enhance its software development and broaden AI use across the organization.

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed. Novo CEO Mike Doustdar said the alliance will "supercharge" the company's R&D efforts.

The deal supports Novo's broader ambition to become the world’s most AI‑driven healthcare company, reflecting a growing trend among pharma firms to leverage AI for drug discovery.
