Centric Compounding initiates nationwide recall of three injectable drugs due to API contamination

Centric Compounding, a Houston-based pharmacy, announced a nationwide recall of three injectable products after detecting contamination in an active pharmaceutical ingredient.

The recall includes three lots of the peptide injectable Glutathione, which were found to contain the contaminant. The company is cooperating with the FDA and notifying distributors and healthcare providers.

Patients who received the affected lots are advised to contact their prescriber or pharmacy for guidance. Centric Compounding says it is taking steps to prevent future incidents and will replace the recalled products.
