Definium Therapeutics reported that its LSD-based drug DT120 reduced anxiety symptoms in a second late-stage study.
In the 12-week trial, patients receiving a 100-microgram dose saw an average 9.8-point drop on the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, compared with a 4.7-point drop for placebo, yielding a 5.1-point advantage that matches the company’s earlier study and exceeds many existing anxiety treatments.
The results move Definium closer to seeking the first regulatory approval for a psychedelic anxiety therapy, a class that is gaining attention for its rapid-acting potential.
