Experts issue consensus guidance on lymphoma testing and treatment strategies

Experts presented consensus recommendations for lymphoma management at the 2025 Bridging the Gaps meeting.

For mantle cell lymphoma, the panel advised comprehensive testing for TP53 mutations and other high-risk features to guide use of non-chemotherapy approaches such as the BOVEN regimen.

In chronic lymphocytic leukemia, the guidance favored time-limited frontline treatment for younger patients with favorable-risk disease and recommended observation for asymptomatic individuals.

For diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, experts recommended prioritizing CAR-T cell therapy in the second-line setting for primary refractory or early-relapsed cases, while noting that ctDNA/MRD monitoring still requires more evidence before routine adoption.
