Revolution Medicines’ pancreatic cancer drug Rasonque priced at $39,800 a month, analysts predict blockbuster sales after swift FDA approval

Revolution Medicines announced that its new pancreatic cancer therapy, Rasonque, received FDA approval in a rapid review process.

The drug is priced at $39,800 for a 30-day supply, which translates to roughly $477,000 per year, considerably higher than the $25,000-$30,000 range analysts had expected and more than double Merck’s Keytruda price.

Following the price announcement, Evercore ISI lifted its sales outlook, forecasting $2.4 billion in revenue for the next year and $15.1 billion by 2034 for the pancreatic indication alone.

The firm also expects the medication could gain approvals for additional cancer types, potentially reaching $20.8 billion in peak annual sales.
