Akeso and Summit report ivonescimab meets primary endpoint in China Phase 3 biliary tract cancer trial

Akeso Therapeutics and partner Summit Therapeutics announced that their bispecific antibody ivonescimab achieved the primary efficacy endpoint in a Phase 3 study conducted exclusively in China.

The trial evaluated patients with biliary tract cancer, marking the first major Phase 3 success for the PD-1xVEGF bispecific platform outside of lung cancer indications.

The companies said the result validates the therapeutic approach and will guide next steps toward regulatory submissions and potential market launch in China.
