Inhibrx reports combo of Keytruda and INBRX-106 reduces tumors more than Keytruda alone in metastatic head cancer

San Diego biotech Inhibrx says its experimental drug INBRX-106, when added to Merck's immunotherapy Keytruda, led to a higher rate of tumor shrinkage than Keytruda by itself.

The observation comes from a study in patients with a difficult-to‑treat metastatic head cancer, a setting where effective options are limited. Researchers compared the combination therapy against Keytruda monotherapy and recorded a greater number of responses.

If the findings are confirmed in larger trials, the partnership could broaden treatment options for this aggressive disease and raise Inhibrx's profile among investors and pharma partners.
