Salata Dressings recalls Jalapeno Avocado Dressing over possible Salmonella contamination

Salata Dressings of Houston, Texas announced a recall of its Jalapeno Avocado Dressing because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. The recall was issued on August 11, 2026 and the FDA posted the notice on August 14, 2026.

Salmonella can cause serious illness, especially in young children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain, and in rare cases the infection can spread to the bloodstream.

The affected dressing was sold in 12-oz plastic bottles at HEB grocery stores in Texas between July 13 and August 5, 2026. The bottles carry best-by dates of November 5, 13, 18 or 25, 2026 and were produced from four ingredient lots between July 8 and July 29, 2026.

Consumers who have purchased the product are advised to discard it and contact Salata Dressings for any questions.
