NatureBest Precut & Produce recalls jalapeño-containing products over possible Salmonella contamination
NatureBest Precut & Produce LLC announced a voluntary recall of food items containing jalapeño peppers supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors because of potential Salmonella contamination.
The recall includes finished products such as Pico de Gallo, stuffed mushrooms and a soup mix that were shipped to retail customers in Texas and Louisiana between July 3 and August 5, 2026.
Salmonella can cause serious illness, especially in young children, the elderly or immunocompromised individuals, with symptoms like fever, diarrhea, nausea and, in rare cases, bloodstream infection.
The FDA posted the recall notice on August 14, 2026 and the company advises consumers to discard the affected products.
