Hamilton Medical issues recall of coaxial breathing circuit sets for C1, T-1 and MR1 ventilators
Hamilton Medical has recalled specific coaxial breathing circuit sets used with its C1, T-1 and MR1 ventilators after the FDA classified the issue as a Class I recall, the most serious level, due to risk of obstruction and potential inadequate ventilation.
The affected products include circuit sets with part numbers 1 CIRCUIT 240 + VALVE B/10, T1 CIRCUIT 180 + VALVE B/20, MR1 CIRCUIT 300 + VALVE B/10, and MR1 CIRCUIT 480 + VALVE B/8, identified by their UDI‑DIT numbers.
Hamilton Medical sent an initial letter on May 22 and a follow-up on July 1 advising customers to immediately check inventory, quarantine any affected lots, and return them for replacement.
