Experts call for independent 9/11‑style commission to review U.S. Covid response

Drawing on his own experience serving on a regional Covid task force early in the pandemic, Nahass describes the high mortality rates his hospital faced and the urgent need for clear guidance and answers at that time.

He concludes that an independent, transparent investigation would provide the rigorous, evidence‑based review needed to improve public health preparedness and response mechanisms.
