Phase 3 MANEUVER trial shows pimicotinib improves response and pain in advanced TGCT, supporting FDA NDA acceptance

The phase 3 MANEUVER study evaluated pimicotinib in patients with advanced diffuse tenosynovial giant cell tumor. The trial compared the oral agent to placebo and collected both clinical and patient‑reported outcomes.

Results indicated a statistically significant increase in tumor response rates for patients receiving pimicotinib. Participants also reported less pain, reduced stiffness, and better range of motion compared with those on placebo.

Based on these findings, the sponsor submitted a new drug application that the FDA accepted in January 2026. The data reinforce a growing trend toward systemic, biology‑driven treatment strategies rather than relying solely on surgical removal for this disease.
