Publix recalls all GreenWise Organic frozen blueberries and mixed berries over potential E. coli O145 contamination
Publix announced a recall of all lots of GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries and Whole Mixed Berries because the products may be contaminated with Escherichia coli O145:H28.
The strain is a Shiga toxin-producing E. coli that can cause severe stomach cramps, diarrhea that may be bloody, vomiting and, in vulnerable individuals, hemolytic uremic syndrome.
The recalled items were shipped to Publix stores in eight southeastern states and have been removed from shelves after an internal stop-sale in June 2026. A prior recall of a specific blueberry lot was issued on July 3.
