Kyverna partners with ElevateBio to supply its autologous CAR-T therapy for autoimmune launches

Jul 29, 2026·read at BioSpace ↗DealPositive

Kyverna Therapeutics has signed a five‑year manufacturing agreement with contract development and manufacturing organization ElevateBio. The deal makes ElevateBio the primary supplier of Kyverna's autologous CAR‑T cell therapy for upcoming U.S. and global launches in autoimmune diseases.

The therapy targets CD19 and includes CD28 co‑stimulation. Kyverna began a rolling submission for approval in the rare autoimmune neurological disorder stiff person syndrome and expects to complete the filing in the fourth quarter of this year. The company is also conducting a Phase 3 trial of the same candidate, mivocabtagene autoleucel, in generalized myasthenia gravis.

Under the agreement, Kyverna will order minimum quantities of the cell therapy in specified calendar years or after regulatory approval. Analysts at William Blair said the partnership is encouraging and suggests the company is taking steps to ensure a successful commercial launch, potentially as early as 2027.
