Madrigal secures fourth MASH partnership, snapping up Arrowhead drug passed over by J&J

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals announced its latest collaboration, marking the fourth deal focused on metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) within a ten‑month span.

The agreement brings an Arrowhead RNA‑interference candidate into Madrigal’s pipeline, a program that Johnson & Johnson previously declined to pursue.

By acquiring assets that other major players have passed on, Madrigal aims to position itself not only as the first to launch a therapy for fatty liver disease but also as a dominant holder of the field’s emerging technologies.
