saveScribe Therapeutics raises $129 million in gene-editing IPO, debuting on Nasdaq
read at BioPharma Dive ↗DealPositive
Scribe Therapeutics completed an initial public offering that raised close to $129 million. The company sold 8.58 million shares at $15 each and will trade on Nasdaq under the ticker SCTX.
The offering marks the first gene-editing IPO in more than two years, coming as biotech listings pick up in 2026. So far, 14 companies have priced offerings this year, outpacing the previous year’s total.
While the raise is modest compared to recent biotech IPOs-whose median proceeds exceed $300 million-Scribe’s debut adds momentum to the sector’s fundraising activity.
