Clinuvel to relocate HQ to US and cut up to 20% of staff

Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals, an Australian biotech, announced it will move its corporate headquarters to the United States starting Jan 1, 2027.

The company said the shift is aimed at attracting U.S. investors and aligning its operations with a U.S.-focused strategy after recently listing on Nasdaq in addition to the ASX.

As part of the transition, Clinuvel plans to reduce its workforce by up to 20%, meaning roughly one in five employees may be let go.

The firm highlighted that U.S.-listed peers with similar revenue and pipeline tend to trade at higher valuation multiples, which it hopes to leverage.

The restructuring reflects the company's belief that a permanent U.S. presence will support its next growth phases.
