Celldex halts development of mast cell antibody after Phase 2 failure in prurigo nodularis

Jul 22, 2026·read at Endpoints ↗Negative readoutNegative

Celldex announced it will discontinue the clinical program for its mast cell‑targeting monoclonal antibody aimed at treating prurigo nodularis, a chronic itchy‑skin condition.

The decision follows the release of topline data from a Phase 2 trial in which the antibody failed to meet any of the predefined efficacy endpoints.

Celldex said the results were disappointing and that it will redirect resources to other pipeline assets.
