Latigo Biotherapeutics plans IPO to fund phase 3 trials of non-opioid pain drug LTG-001
Latigo Biotherapeutics announced it is preparing an initial public offering to raise capital for its clinical-stage, non-opioid pain management pipeline.
The company highlighted its oral Nav1.8 inhibitor LTG-001 as the primary use of proceeds, planning to fund a phase 3 trial in patients undergoing bunion surgery and a broader late-stage study across various post-surgical and non-surgical settings.
The trials are slated to start in the second half of this year with topline data expected in the second half of 2027. Latigo also mentioned development of an intravenous formulation intended for hospital use and transition to outpatient pain control.
Latigo aims to position LTG-001 as a competitor to Vertex Pharmaceuticals’ approved Nav1.8 inhibitor Journax, which received FDA approval last year.
