Ohio launches $30M Life Science Training Center to boost biomanufacturing workforce

Ohio’s JobsOhio agency and the Ohio Life Sciences Association announced a public-private training center backed by up to $30 million. The center is intended to create a statewide pipeline of operators and technicians for pharmaceutical manufacturing and biotechnology.

The program will partner with universities, community colleges and technical schools across all 88 Ohio counties, offering a standardized curriculum, certifications and a single entry point for employers and job seekers.

By addressing the workforce bottleneck, the initiative aims to make Ohio a more attractive location for biomanufacturing investment and support the full life-science value chain from research to distribution.
