Veradermics' experimental hair loss pill shows promising results in women

Veradermics reported positive Phase 2 data for its oral minoxidil formulation VDPHL01 in women with mild-to-moderate pattern hair loss.

The study enrolled 28 participants who took the drug once or twice daily for six months, and both dosing regimens produced similar outcomes.

On average, participants gained about 23 hairs per square centimeter, and many noticed improvement as early as two months.

The results exceeded investor expectations, lifted the company’s share price near $130, and strengthen the prospect of the first FDA-approved oral therapy for female pattern baldness.
