Within Sanofi, the Procurement function is a powerhouse maximizing savings to fund the company’s future growth. The Chief Procurement Officer is reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, member of the Sanofi executive committee. The Procurement organization is divided into five Domains (Manufacturing & Supply, Marketing & Sales, Professional Services, Scientific & Medical and Digital) leveraging Global Procurement Operations and the Procurement Center of Excellence & Transformation. The yearly spend coverage is around 15B€ with a special focus on Procurement excellence, Supplier Diversity and Sustainability. Closely collaborating with Finance, Business Operations and Business Units, Procurement is instrumental in achieving cost efficiency and savings. Procurement plays a critical role in optimizing Business Operational Impact with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity. It forges strategic partnerships with suppliers, prioritizing innovation and data driven solutions.
As the the Global Category Buyer Tubular glass Elastomers & Caps you will be responsible for a primary packaging category (Tubular glass, Elastomers, Alu caps) of approximately 70 M€ spend depending on the category, for developing and implementing best-in-class sourcing strategies and leading sourcing activities across all business units at global level. This includes activities such as, but not limited to, partnering with internal business teams to support their objectives, assisting with building project scopes, consolidating all business needs and specifications, conducting Global Requests for Proposal (RFPs), negotiating contracts with suppliers, establishing rate cards/discount schedules, and managing overall relationships with key suppliers.
The scope of this position is global and for all entities of Sanofi Group.
Main responsibilities:
Operations Management
• Lead the implementation and operational follow-up of action plans aligned with Category Management strategies, in close collaboration with the procurement network and stakeholders
• Support the Global Category Lead Buyer in strategy execution and sourcing activities while delivering savings pipeline in line with targets; lead global RFIs/RFPs and contract negotiations for the assigned category
• Report on status, savings, performance, and risks of sourcing activities
• Monitor industry trends, market developments, and conduct benchmarking against best practices
• Drive robust Supplier Management through business reviews and performance management
• Ensure procurement technical excellence (TCO, SRM, Market Intelligence, Risk Management, Innovation, CSR, HSE, Compliance, Quality) and leverage middle/back-office services
Stakeholder Management
• Develop strong partnerships with his/her key internal customers and foster two-way supportive relationships with them while presenting Procurement strategies to key internal customers for review and input
About you
Education:
• Minimum Master degree from an accredited College or University
Experience :
• 5+ years' experience in Procurement or related field, with a focus on pharma or primary packaging
Soft Skills/ Technical skills:
• Sourcing professional skills with a strong ability to develop relationships within and across the different lines of business and throughout the Procurement organization, including transversal / project management skills as well as management skills in a multi-cultural environment
• Technical knowledge of primary packaging
• Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of finance and legal aspects

The salary range for this position is :Ft10 944 000,00 - Ft16 416 000,00Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
