At Regeneron, we use science and innovation to develop life-changing medicines for people with serious diseases. We are seeking a Lab Assistant to join our operations team within the Bioreactor Scale Up and Development (BS&D) group, part of the Product Analytical and Process Development (PAPD) department. In this role, you will support routine laboratory tasks essential to BS&D's core mission, executing assigned work individually and in collaboration with others, while receiving general instruction and guidance.

This position offers the opportunity to build foundational lab skills in a fast-paced, science-driven environment, contributing to process development studies that support Regeneron's mission to help patients worldwide.

When & where:

• Shift Requirements: Full-time, with flexibility to support occasional weekend and off-hours work to ensure timely completion of process development studies and project deliverables

• Location: On-site laboratory setting

• Flexibility & travel: Minimal to no travel; consistent on-site presence required to support routine lab operations

What you'll do:

• Support lab operations to cultivate mammalian cells producing biologics in bench- and pilot-scale bioreactors, including sterilizing, sanitizing, and operating bioreactors

• Prepare media, buffers, and feeds

• Perform preventative maintenance activities and maintain laboratory equipment

• With guidance, troubleshoot bioreactor and equipment issues

• Ensure lab, storage, and hallway spaces are clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment

• With guidance, identify key process improvement opportunities and help implement strategies to increase speed and efficiency

• Learn and adapt to new laboratory practices (SOPs, protocols, procedures, etc.) with supervision

• Support additional activities as they arise to help BS&D and PMPD through future growth and expansion

The environment and physical rhythms of this role:

• This is an on-site, hands-on laboratory role requiring the ability to lift and carry laboratory equipment and supplies as needed, along with the physical demands of operating bench- and pilot-scale bioreactors.

• Flexibility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced laboratory environment, including occasional weekend and off-hours work, is required.

Must-haves:

• High School Diploma and 1-2 years of experience, or a combination of training and experience

• Good organization, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well both within a team and independently

• Willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities, and adapt to new laboratory practices with supervision

• Strong attention to detail and an interest in science

Preferred / nice-to-haves:

• 2-year college degree

• Experience in cell culture or media/buffer preparation

• Service-oriented mindset and desire to provide quality customer service
