Are you ready to lead AI-enabled transformation and turn complex problems into measurable business outcomes? In this Lisbon-based role, you will help shape how our enterprise runs, linking data, analytics, and process excellence to the way we deliver for patients and the business. You will set the approach with minimal direction, define success in clear terms, and connect innovative solutions to tangible value.

You will be a key member of a Service Excellence and Performance team, working across services and functions to simplify how we operate and improve decision-making. Can you translate ambiguity into a clear plan, measurable critical metrics, and results that hold up under scrutiny? Do you thrive on mentoring others while ensuring the work meets a high bar for quality and impact?

Accountabilities:

• Business Analysis Leadership: Lead end-to-end analysis for complex transformation and performance priorities, structuring ambiguous problems into clear workstreams and decision-ready outputs that drive action.

• AI-Enabled Transformation: Shape opportunities where AI, automation, analytics, and reporting can improve productivity, quality, speed, and customer experience; ensure solutions are tied to specific business outcomes.

• Data and Performance Measurement: Establish baselines, KPIs, value metrics, targets, and benefits tracking; create strong logic for measuring impact across cost, risk, adoption, and capacity release.

• Requirements and Traceability: Translate business needs into business, functional, data, and reporting requirements with clear acceptance criteria; maintain traceability from objectives to benefits.

• Delivery and Change Enablement: Partner with project teams and agile squads to test solutions against original needs, prepare stakeholders for change, and embed new ways of working and governance.

• Insight and Benefits Realisation: Monitor whether initiatives deliver intended outcomes, escalate risks to benefits, and convert analysis into practical recommendations and course corrections.

• Mentoring and Standards: Coach Business Analysts to raise the standard of analysis, data literacy, and stakeholder engagement; review deliverables to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.

• Senior Stakeholder Influence: Facilitate workshops, align on priorities, and communicate complex topics simply; challenge assumptions constructively to focus leaders on measurable value and sustainable change.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Relevant experience (8 – 12 years) with a proven track record leading transformation or business analysis workstreams end-to-end.

• Experience shaping AI-enabled, automation, analytics, reporting or process improvement solutions from a business perspective.

• Practical working knowledge of AI, generative AI and automation concepts, with an understanding of how these can be applied to improve business processes, productivity, decision-making and service performance

• Practical working knowledge using AI tools to support business analysis activities, such as research, synthesis, requirements structuring, process analysis, documentation, insight generation and stakeholder communication.

• Experience gathering, structuring and documenting business requirements, including business, functional, data and reporting requirements

• Experience analyzing and mapping end-to-end business processes — identifying inefficiencies, control gaps and improvement opportunities — with practical exposure to process improvement or optimization methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) and/or process mining

• Hands-on proficiency with business analysis and data tooling, such as process mapping (e.g. BIC), data querying and analytics (e.g. SQL, Power BI) and requirements/backlog management in an agile environment (e.g. Jira).

• Ability to translate business needs into clear requirements, working effectively with technical teams

• Solid understanding of data and analytics fundamentals, including data flows, data points, data sources, data models, data architecture, data lineage and data quality concepts.

• Fluent English, written and spoken

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Agile, Scrum, Lean Six Sigma

• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities.

• Experience in GBS / Shared Services or pharmaceutical / life sciences environments.
