Your Opportunity to make a difference! As our product portfolio and production volumes grow, we can now offer the exciting opportunity to join our biologics manufacturing plant located in Södertälje to deliver the products of the future, as our Capacity Manager!
What you will do The Capacity Manager works in the tactical and strategic planning horizon and is responsible for the capacity process for assigned assets at Sweden Biomanufacturing Center. One of the key responsibilities is to reflect the correct capacity data in the planning system by supporting, coaching, and challenging Production Planners, Production Managers, Project Managers and other site functions. As a key player for capacity-related questions, you understand flexibility in ramping up and down capacity and ensure impact is understood across the organization. You are the link between the site and external stakeholders in capacity-related questions and topics. You are also an important partner in improving some of the planning-related processes at the site. As Capacity Manager you maintain the site internal supply chain synchronization by collaborating with planning team colleagues and other global and site functions such as Network Strategy, Network Supply Planning, Project Management Office, Warehouse and Manufacturing. Your capacity analysis in the strategic horizon will influence decision-making regarding future supply and investments at SBC. You are one of two Capacity Managers, you sit on the Supply Chain Leadership Team and report directly to the Supply Chain Director.
Your main duties include:
• Ensure correct capacity data is reflected in the planning system
• Work closely with Production Planners, Network Supply Planners and Manufacturing on mitigation plans for capacity constraints
• Be a key representative in relevant parts of the monthly global planning process, e.g. Supply Consensus with Global Supply Chain & Strategy
• Optimize the internal site supply chain from a capacity, lead-time and synchronization perspective, in collaboration with internal SBC stakeholders
• Own the capacity handshake process (run rates, changeover times, available production hours) for assigned manufacturing assets
• Be LPC (Local Process Champion) for relevant processes linked to capacity and production planning
• Support NPI (New Product Introduction) site assessments
• Plan non-commercial activities in the 4-24 months horizon and support in trade-off decisions as part of the SBC Planning renewal process
• Represent Supply Chain in New Product Introduction and Supply Chain Projects
• Simulate required warehouse capacity (ambient, 2-8C, freeze) for various planning horizons. Conduct internal strategic reviews for the asset base for future supply.
• Support in the site budget process (e.g., MTP and PB) for production/warehouse volumes and capacities, local inventory levels, and investment proposals.
• Be an active member of the Supply Chain Leadership team at SBC and actively contribute to the tactical and strategic improvement work in this team
Essential Requirements
• M.Sc. degree with orientation around planning/supply chain combined with at least 2-3 years of relevant work experience – or a B.Sc. degree combined with several years of relevant work experience in supply chain planning.
• Knowledge of ECC and SAP APO
• Experience from the pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent communication skills - both in the English and Swedish
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Ability to challenge stakeholders at various levels across the organization
