ABOUT GENESIS
We are a full-stack general-purpose robot company, born across San Francisco and Paris and bound by a single mission: to make general-purpose robots a reality, unlocking infinite physical labor for the world and freeing people for creativity, exploration, and the pursuits they love for their own sake.
We are French and American by birth and global by nature. We are backed by partners who share our vision, including Eclipse, Khosla Ventures, Bpifrance, and HSG, alongside Eric Schmidt, Xavier Niel, Daniela Rus, and Vladlen Koltun. Our people work across the Bay Area and Europe, building the engine that will teach robots to do real work in the real world. We recently unveiled Eno, our wheeled, dexterous robot powered by our GENE foundation model, and we are starting to put it to work with real customers.
THE ROLE
You'll own Genesis's positioning, messaging, and narrative for the broader market during a critical period of growth as robots enter production at scale. Working with the Head of Marketing, engineering, and commercial teams, you'll make technical concepts compelling and easy to understand while keeping claims grounded in evidence. This hire matters now because model and hardware releases need clear differentiation, and deployments with strategic partners need to become credible customer stories.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own Genesis's positioning and messaging, maintaining a narrative and evidence base that founders and teams can use with technical talent, investors, and industrial customers.
- Build launch narratives for GENE model releases, Eno, and Genesis World with technical owners, explaining what changed, why it matters, and what the evidence supports.
- Track the fast-moving robotics landscape weekly, covering model-first and integrated robot companies, and turn significant developments into concise briefs that sharpen our differentiation and value.
- Develop high-quality customer stories with strategic partners and deployment teams as robots enter production and scale, securing customer approval and completing data-rights review before publication.
- Equip the commercial team with buyer-facing materials, including use-case explainers and competitive objection handling grounded in demonstrated capabilities.
- Develop the talent narrative with recruiting and technical teams, showing candidates the problems they could work on and the engineering decisions behind them.
- Review public performance claims for platform, operating conditions, speed, and level of autonomy, resolving gaps with the people who ran the work before publication.
- Turn field failures into useful evidence by tracing an issue through evaluation and a model or hardware fix, then explaining what improved in deployment.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 5+ years of product marketing or technical marketing experience, with ownership of positioning, messaging, and launches.
- Exceptional writing skills, with a record of making difficult technical concepts compelling and easy to understand without changing their meaning.
- Sound technical judgment, ideally developed in AI, autonomy, or robotics.
- Clear understanding of the difference between a research result and a deployment claim, including the questions each needs answered before publication.
- Track record of connecting market research to decisions about differentiation, messaging, and commercial priorities.
- Strong working relationships with engineers and customer-facing teams, built through careful listening, accurate drafts, and reliable follow-through.
- Published work or launch materials that make your contribution clear, including your approach to evidence and technical review.
- Bonus: Experience marketing industrial or logistics deployments and developing customer stories with strategic partners through technical and legal review.
- Bonus: Familiarity with simulation and open-source research communities.
- Bonus: Experience explaining automation's effects on specific tasks and workers with direct answers and respect for the skill involved.
