Job Description

Strategic Leadership

• Serve as the Medical Affairs TA Lead for Liver across Hong Kong and Singapore.

• Lead development and execution of local medical strategy, tactics, and plans of action for viral hepatitis and liver diseases.

• Provide strategic medical leadership for lifecycle management and future portfolio opportunities.

• Advocate for local market needs, resource requirements, and evidence generation priorities.

• Foster insight generation and best-practice exchange within country, regional, and global teams.

Scientific Leadership and External Engagement

• Act as the recognized subject matter expert in viral hepatitis and liver diseases.

• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key scientific leaders, healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and professional societies.

• Facilitate high-quality scientific exchange and dissemination of unbiased scientific information.

• Lead local and regional advisory boards, scientific education programs, and patient-centric initiatives.

• Represent Medical Affairs at local and international scientific congresses and engagements.

Medical Strategy and Evidence Generation

• Identify evidence gaps and support the development of data generation strategies.

• Collaborate with regional and global teams on investigator-sponsored research, phase IV studies, publications, and real-world evidence initiatives.

• Evaluate external research opportunities and support internal governance processes.

• Provide scientific support for medical education and disease awareness programs.

Cross-functional Leadership

• Partner closely with Commercial, Market Access, Clinical Operation, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Government Affairs, Public Affairs, Business Compliance, and Medical TA counterparts at HQs and across Asia to ensure alignment on liver disease strategies.

• Serve as a key contributor to cross-functional planning and execution of strategic initiatives.

• Review promotional and non-promotional materials.

Field Medical Excellence

• Maintain deep understanding of scientific advancements, treatment guidelines, competitive landscape, and evolving standards of care in liver diseases.

• Present latest evidence and treatment guidelines to healthcare professionals to support optimization of treatment and clinical practices.

• Engage regularly with healthcare professionals to generate actionable medical insights.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and company requirements.

• Maintain continuous professional development and scientific expertise

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Advanced scientific degree required: MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent scientific qualification.

• Hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, antiviral therapy, or related therapeutic expertise preferred

• Minimum 7 years of pharma industry or clinical experience.

• Experience supporting launch, lifecycle management, or evidence generation activities preferred.

• Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills with varied audiences

• Demonstrated leadership in matrix and cross functional team structures with agility, transparency and innovation

• Strong analytical and strategic skills; aptitude to understand and lead through complex issues, identify key insights, actions and communicate salient points to varying audiences required

• Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and independence required

• Must have demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Regional/ International travelling include occasional weekend travel is required
