About the Role / Purpose The Finance Enterprise Partner (FEP) Lead for Poland and SECE (South East Central East) distributor markets serves as a strategic financial partner to the commercial organization and affiliate leadership. In this role, you will act as a trusted thought partner across the entire value chain, leveraging deep business understanding and financial expertise to drive strategies that create value for our customers, the affiliate, and the wider enterprise. You will lead a high-performing team of specialists (Finance Excellence Partners), role-modeling leadership as a Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, and Coach (VACC) to foster an agile, innovative, and future-ready environment.
Your Impact / Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management (VACC)
• Lead, develop, and coach a team of specialists/experts, creating a psychologically safe and inclusive environment.
• Act as a VACC leader to empower decision-making at all levels, fostering trust, autonomy, and collective accountability.
• Adapt team plans and priorities to effectively navigate operational and resource challenges.
Commercial Strategy & Business Partnership
• Partner with commercial leadership to shape coherent market strategies, business planning, opportunity prioritization, and revenue-generation initiatives.
• Drive sustainable commercial deals through rigorous risk evaluation, market analysis, competitor assumptions, and value-based pricing strategies.
• Support the business and customers in co-creating innovative business models and providing transparent financial impact metrics.
• Incorporate financial rigor into commercial proposals and tenders to ensure highly competitive and profitable outcomes.
Financial & Operational Rigor
• Drive top-line to bottom-line P&L performance, ensuring financial targets are met and advising on corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Proactively identify and execute ideas for P&L optimization, including upsell opportunities, efficiency improvements, risk reduction, and waste elimination.
• Balance resource allocation across competing business priorities based on financial implications and long-term enterprise strategy.
• Monitor customer and contract performance over the full lifecycle from a profitability and outcomes perspective.
Ecosystem & Network Collaboration
• Build strong networks across local, regional, and global finance communities to share best practices, leverage digital tools, and co-create cross-functional solutions.
• Act as a "systems thinker" by understanding upstream and downstream operational impacts across the broader healthcare ecosystem.

• Financial Governance: Ensure the highest standards of financial control, and compliance with Internal Audit, Roche Accounting Standards, and local regulations.
• Operational Excellence: Manage the "license to operate" function while leading the local deployment of global infrastructure initiatives like ASPIRE.
• Co-Ownership of Subregional Finance Priorities together with the other members of the Subregional Finance Enterprise Leads community provides strategic, entrepreneurial, and customer-centric approach to decision-making.
• Risk & Value Management: Navigate volatile macroeconomic environments to maintain P&L sustainability, mitigate financial risks, and identify emerging growth opportunities.
• Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills.
• Proven negotiation skills with the ability to build win-win outcomes.
• Comfortable navigating complex, agile environments and leading organizational change. Foster a “continuous improvement” mindset regarding internal processes.
• Passion for leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and modern technology to optimize end-to-end processes. Champion aggressive deployment of relevant automation and AI tools.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the local healthcare landscape and market dynamics (experience in IVD / MedTech / Pharma is highly valued).
• Languages: Full proficiency in written and spoken Polish and English.
Who You Are / What You Bring Experience: Minimum 7+ years of relevant commercial finance / business partnering experience. 2+ years of proven leadership experience coaching and empowering high-performing teams. Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred). Financial Acumen: Strong business and accounting acumen (solid understanding of GAAP/IFRS) with the ability to guide decisions impacting P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
