Job Purpose
As a Maintenance Section Head you will lead a maintenance team that keeps production equipment reliable, safe and available at our Egypt manufacturing site. You will plan and deliver preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance. You will work closely with production, quality, engineering and suppliers to reduce downtime and improve performance. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
• Lead maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operation of production equipment and site utilities.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs through the CMMS to maximize equipment uptime and performance.
• Analyze equipment performance and breakdown trends, lead root cause investigations, and implement sustainable engineering improvements.
• Manage spare parts planning, supplier relationships, and technical support to ensure availability of critical components.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ), FAT, and SAT of new or upgraded equipment, including URS development and design reviews.
• Drive LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor, promoting standard work, 5S, GEMBA, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with GSK quality standards, EHS requirements, machine safety programs, and maintenance procedures.
• Lead engineering projects, support deviation investigations, and coach technicians to foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
This position is fully on-site.
Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
• Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceuticals industry in a similar role.
• Fluent Arabic and a good level of English (both written and spoken).
• Previous people management experience.
Skills:
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with change management skills.
• Good communication, analytical & leadership skills.
• Knowledge and awareness of lean culture and tools.
• Good knowledge GMP and ISO requirements as well as EHS international standards.
• Good computer skills.
