The Position At Roche, our strong financial foundation enables us to continue innovating and improving lives. As an independent function within the Roche Group, the Financial Compliance Team partners with our two core businesses and group functions to proactively manage financial compliance risks.
We are a multicultural, dynamic team based in Basel, and we are looking for a driven Senior Auditor to help us uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.
The Opportunity As a Senior Financial Compliance Auditor, you will act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert. Your core responsibilities will include:
• Audit & Testing: Plan, coordinate, and conduct ICFR (Internal Controls over Financial Reporting) design and operating effectiveness testing for several Group companies and HQ functions.
• Risk Management: Participate in financial risk assessments and scoping activities for ICFR to maintain a robust internal control environment across the Roche Group.
• Process Improvement: Support and drive the implementation of strategic action plans to resolve any identified process or control weaknesses.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise seamlessly with Group and divisional business process management functions on matters related to Financial Compliance.
• Team Empowerment: Champion best practices by supporting and leading training sessions for Roche Finance employees on ICFR-related topics.
Who You Are You are a highly analytical and collaborative professional who thrives in an international environment. You bring strong financial acumen, an eye for process improvement, and excellent communication skills.
• Education: A university degree with solid academic credentials, ideally in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in external auditing (Big 4 strongly preferred) or direct experience in Finance.
• Language: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is a must.
• Core Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, synthesis skills, and deep process and risk knowledge.
• Soft Skills: A dedicated team player with proven communication and influencing abilities.
• Professional certification such as a CPA (or equivalent).
• Direct experience working within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
• Tech & Innovation: A strong IT curiosity with the willingness to explore and implement new digital solutions and tools to continuously increase process efficiency.
• Proficiency in additional languages.
Location: Basel, Switzerland / Travel: Approx. 15%
