Job Description

Objectives:

• Establish and lead the Data Dissemination pillar of the Global Capability Model (GCM) for Global Medical in Bengaluru, providing strategic direction across Medical Information Content and Scientific Communications & Review capabilities

• Serve as the primary interface between the GCM and the Global Medical organization, ensuring quality, compliance, and continuous value delivery across all Data Dissemination outputs

• Build and mature a high-performing large team, creating career pathways, operating rhythms, and governance structures that enable the GCM to become a center of excellence for medical content and review

Accountabilities: GCM Strategy & Direction

• Define and execute the Data Dissemination GCM operational strategy aligned with Global Medical priorities

• Set annual capability roadmaps for Medical Information Content and Scientific Communications & Publications teams; track against milestones

• Partner with Global Scientific Communication and Medical Information leaders and Medical Excellence and Operations leaders to ensure GCM activity scope evolves with business needs

Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead, develop, and performance-manage Lead, GCM Med Info; Lead, GCM Sci Comms & Pubs; and Lead, GCM Sci Comms Medical Review

• Build a talent pipeline and career progression framework for Bengaluru-based Global Medical colleagues

• Champion GCM culture: scientific rigor and continuous improvement

Quality & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure all GCM outputs meet Takeda quality standards, regulatory requirements, and SOPs

• Own escalation path for quality, compliance, or stakeholder issues arising in the Data Dissemination teams

• Monitor SLA performance and drive corrective actions where targets are not met

Stakeholder & Governance

• Act as the senior point of contact for Head, Global Medical Information and Head, Global Scientific Communications

• Generate and communicate actionable insights to Global Data Dissemination leadership team

• Co-chair GCM Governance Forum; provide regular reporting to Head of Global Data Dissemination on capacity, quality, and value

• Lead transition planning as new activity scope is transferred to GCM

• Ensure budgetary oversight in collaboration with leadership and key stakeholders

Education, Behavioral Competencies, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree + 12 years of experience (or master’s degree +10 years of experience. . . or doctorate +8 years of experience) in Medical Affairs, Medical Communications, and/or Medical Information in a global pharmaceutical company; minimum 3 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional or multi-site teams

• Deep expertise in Medical Information, Scientific Communications, and/or MLR review workflows

• Strong understanding of GxP, regulatory compliance, and medical review governance

• Experience establishing new teams or capability centers (GCM, CoEs, or shared services) preferred

• Proficiency in Veeva Vault, PAREXEL, or equivalent medical content/review platforms

• Languages: Fluent English required; additional languages advantageous​
