Job Description
The Senior Manager, Commercial Capability Development & Field Excellence – LATAM is responsible for developing and accelerating commercial capabilities across LATAM, enabling affiliates to successfully execute business priorities, launch readiness, customer engagement strategies, and performance improvement initiatives. This role evolves the traditional Commercial Learning & Development scope into a broader regional capability-building function focused on commercial execution, field excellence, AI adoption, change management, and measurable business impact. The position partners closely with Business Units, Commercial Excellence, Omnichannel, Medical Affairs, Market Access, and other stakeholders to identify capability gaps and translate business needs into scalable solutions, including training programs, certifications, coaching, digital learning, AI-enabled tools, and readiness initiatives. This is a highly visible regional role that combines strategic leadership with HANDS ON Execution. The individual is expected to lead initiatives end-to-end, manage vendors and trainers, operate digital platforms, generate insights and reporting, and drive adoption across countries with different operating models. Success in this role depends on the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, mobilize resources, adapt solutions to affiliate needs, and ensure initiatives translate into capability adoption, behavioral change, improved commercial execution, and measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Commercial Capability Strategy & Governance
• Define and lead the LATAM capability-building strategy.
• Identify capability gaps and translate needs into scalable solutions.
• Develop both technical and behavioral capabilities, including product knowledge, customer engagement, selling excellence, leadership, communication, influence, and omnichannel execution.
Launch Readiness & Business Enablement
• Lead readiness initiatives for launches and strategic priorities.
• Coordinate training, certification, coaching, and reinforcement programs.
• Partner with Commercial and Medical teams to ensure readiness and execution excellence.
Regional Influence & Stakeholder Alignment
• Drive execution through influence in a highly matrixed environment.
• Align local, regional, and global stakeholders around common objectives.
• Deliver results regardless of country operating models or resource structures.
Hands-On Execution
• Balance strategy with direct execution.
• Personally lead implementation, deployment, follow-up, and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain close connection with field realities to identify needs and improve effectiveness.
Digital Learning, AI & Capability Enablement
• Lead adoption of AI-enabled learning and digital capability solutions.
• Manage platforms supporting self-learning, coaching, role play, microlearning, and capability development.
• Drive innovation through technology and automation.
Analytics, Measurement & Insights
• Generate reporting and actionable insights directly from capability platforms.
• Monitor adoption, readiness, engagement, certifications, and business impact.
• Use data to continuously improve capability-building strategies.
Change Management & Adoption
• Lead change management efforts that accelerate adoption of strategic capabilities, digital tools, and new ways of working.
• Ensure capability initiatives result in sustained behavior change and improved business performance.
Vendor & Trainer Management
• Manage vendors, trainers, facilitators, and learning partners.
• Ensure training solutions remain aligned with business priorities and field needs.

Minimum Experience: 5+ years of Pharma experience and a BS or BA degree. 3+ years of successful models implementation in Biotech/Pharma Preferred Experience: Prior commercial Training /Marketing Opeartions/ Other Enablement CommOps Functions Experience launching a pharmaceutical / High Specialty Products product.
• Fluent English required. Spanish strongly preferred. Portuguese is a strong plus given the regional scope and collaboration with Brazil.
